Thus, it was not reported in the hourly syslog message. There are many reasons, but the most common ones are: The information in the fabric header of the packet might be corrupt, so the source module cannot be determined the XBAR that was traversed is removed from the system since the error incremented. The system is unable to ascertain the XBAR that the packet traversed. Notice that the XBAR information is missing. CRC error with a single source module, receive module, but no XBAR instance: %OC_USD-SLOT4-2-RF_CRC: OC2 received packets withĬRC error from MOD 1In this message, Module 4 (M4) reported the CRC error from M1.In this case, M1 detected CRC errors from M15 through XBAR slot 1 instance 1. XBAR 1 is the cross bar in which the packet was received. The module where the CRC errors originate is referred to as the ingress module (M15 in this case), and the module that reported the problem is the egress module (M1). CRC error with a single source module, receive module, and XBAR instance: %OC_USD-SLOT1-2-RF_CRC: OC1 received packets withĬRC error from MOD 15 through XBAR slot 1/inst 1This means that the module in slot 1 detected a CRC error from M15 through XBAR slot 1/instance 1.This section describes four of the most common types of fabric CRC Errors. Understand the Different Fabric CRC Errors This is reported by M1, which indicates that it received packets with the wrong CRC from Module 15 (M15) via XBAR slot 1/instance 1. Here is a sample error message: %OC_USD-SLOT1-2-RF_CRC: OC1 received packets withĬRC error from MOD 15 through XBAR slot 1/inst 1 In M1/Fab1 architecture, CRCs are detected only on the egress linecard (S3). So, the devices involved in the path are the ingress Octopus, chassis, crossbar fabric, and egress Octopus. If CRC is detected in S3, a problem might have happened in S1 or S2 also, since no CRC check is performed in those stages. With the assumption that a unidirectional flow from Module 1 (M1) to Module 2 (M2) is present, the ingress Octopus-1 on M1 performs error checks on packets it receives from the south, and the egress Octopus-1 on M2 from the north. Please remember that most of the Nexus 7000 Series switches have three or more XBARs installed. Stage 1 (S1), Stage 2 (S2), and Stage 3 (S3) are the three stages of the Nexus 7000 fabric, Octopus is the queue engine, Santa Cruz (SC) is the fabric ASIC, and Instance 1 and 2 are the two SC instances on the XBAR. The previous image gives an overview of the components involved when a packet traverses a fabric module. Here is a high-level diagram of a Nexus 7018 fabric module with M1 linecards: This document covers the most common types of fabric CRC errors. A troubleshoot of fabric Cyclic Redundancy Checksums (CRCs) involves the collection of data, data analysis, and an elimination process in order to isolate the problem component. This document describes how to resolve fabric errors reported in the Cisco Nexus 7000 platform.

He led the capture of the strategic city of Atlanta, a military success that contributed to the re-election of President Abraham Lincoln. In 1864, when Grant went east to serve as the General-in-Chief of the Union Armies, Sherman succeeded him as the commander in the Western Theater. Sherman served under Grant in 18 in the Battle of Fort Henry and the Battle of Fort Donelson, the Battle of Shiloh, the campaigns that led to the fall of the Confederate stronghold of Vicksburg on the Mississippi River, and the Chattanooga campaign, which culminated with the routing of the Confederate armies in the state of Tennessee. He recovered and forged a close partnership with General Ulysses S. He was stationed in Kentucky, where his pessimism about the outlook of the war led to a breakdown that required him to be briefly put on leave. Sherman commanded a brigade of volunteers at the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861 before being transferred to the Western Theater. In 1859, he became superintendent of the Louisiana State Seminary of Learning & Military Academy (now Louisiana State University), a position from which he resigned when Louisiana seceded from the Union. He interrupted his military career in 1853 to pursue private business ventures, without much success. īorn in Ohio into a politically prominent family, Sherman graduated in 1840 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. As Steve Werner said, however, Adobe updates and installers should not remove existing fonts from your computer. In particular, at the bottom of the page are links to (extensive) lists of the fonts that were bundled with CS6, CS5 & 5.5, CS4 and CS3 & earlier versions of the Adobe CS apps. Within Adobe CC there are many, many fonts available. Some of your questions are likely answered on this page: Creative Cloud fonts, installation & FAQs | Adobe Type. The last reason that you might be getting this error message is because you have fonts on your system that are not activated. So make sure to check with whomever you are sharing with that they have access to Adobe CC. It only becomes an issue if you are packaging a folder to share with someone. If you are saving files as PDF to send elsewhere or to a printer it won’t matter. This may not be something you or they want to get involved in. If you pass them to someone else or someone passes them to you, you/or they need to be subscribed to the same package in order to be able to use them. You are in fact only renting them from Adobe. These fonts are perfectly legit if you are subscribed to this package.īut you don’t own these fonts. They may have been used as Adobe Typekit or Adobe CC. We don’t know for sure where these fonts came from or where they originated. Sharing fonts or indeed files can lead to software issues or corruption problems.įonts that come from a third party are to be avoided if at all possible. Your machine will always throw an error if there are two similar fonts, with either the same folder name or subset name. The way to solve this is to uninstall the fonts and reload the one you have in either a source file or from an original system file. When yo open a file and it says font missing, your machine is trying to match your file with the font that has the same name on your system but if there are two with the same name then both will appear in the list. This causes problems when we open InDesign Files. They sometimes have been renamed somewhere along the way but in actual fact are the same font as one we already have on our system. Fonts arrive packaged with jobs and we automatically load them onto our machines through Font Folder or Font Book. This is another problem that can cause font headaches. If you package the file with Post Script Fonts the folder will travel and work much better. This should solve your missing font issue, however if your file is being sent to someone else to work on and they have a different platform to the problem will arise again on their end. This should be ok, but you need to check that the font you choose to replace your ‘missing’ font looks similar to your original. However, you may not have a Post Script version, and only have a True Type Version. These are original Adobe Fonts that don’t cause any issues when printed. In order to solve this issue you need to replace the missing font with the correct font you have on your system. When you open a document that has a font that started life on a different platform to yours, your system realizes this and shows the error that the font is missing. Because we now have cross platform usage this can lead to font problems.įonts that have moved cross platform, may look the same and may even have the same font name (Futura & Times New Roman as example), but they are very different fonts on each platform. But that is definitely not the case nowadays. In the past it was nearly a given that if you were using Adobe products and a graphic designer that you were more than likely using a Mac OS. Let’s look at some possible solutions to this problem. It takes up valuable time that should be spent working. It’s always frustrating when you sit down to complete a job and are faced with an error message. InDesign is missing a font for the following 3 reasons You know they are not! Here’s what to do to fix the problem. You open a document that you have worked on previously and you get an error message to say one or more fonts are missing. Here are a couple of examples that demonstrate both the default behavior and the behavior when given an index: > my_list = The pop() method removes and returns the last item by default unless you give it an index argument. Extend appended all values from l2 to l1. While l1 got extended with the elements of l2, l2 stayed the same. The alternative is to extend one list with another, using the extend method: > l1 = Here’s how you can add two lists together. Add all elements of one list to the other with the extend method.‘Add’ them together with the + operator.Combine or merge two listsĪnother way of adding elements is adding all the elements from one list to the other. When calling append on a list, we append an object to the end of the list: > my_list = List objects have a number of useful built-in methods, one of which is the append method. I’ll describe and demonstrate them all in this section. What you use, depends on the situation you’re in. There are several ways to remove data from a list. Let’s see how we can add and remove data. So to request an element in that list, you need to again use a couple of brackets: > my_list =, , ] When you access an element that is a list, that list is returned. > my_list # get the 2nd last elementĪccessing nested list elements is not that much different. E.g., to get the last element of a list, you can do this: > my_list = In this case, we start counting at -1 instead of 0. If you want to get elements from the end of the list, you can supply a negative value. In my article on exceptions and the try and except statements, I’ve written about this subject more in-depth in the section on best practices. In this case, Python throws an Inde圎rror exception, with the explanation ‘list index out of range’. Here are a few examples: > my_list = Īs you can see, you can’t access elements that don’t exist. Since computers start counting at 0, the first element is in position 0, the second element is in position 1, etcetera. To access an individual list element, you need to know the position of that element. E.g., you can materialize the range function into a list of actual values, or convert a Python set or tuple into a list: > list(range(1, 4)) So you can convert anything that is iterable into a list. This function takes one argument: an object that is iterable. If you want to convert another Python object to a list, you can use the list() function, which is actually the constructor of the list class itself. The class of a list is called ‘list’, with a lower case L. Python lists, like all Python data types, are objects. Game_board =, , ] Using the list() function The following lists are all valid: my_list = The elements in a list can have any data type, and they can be mixed. Lists contain regular Python objects, separated by commas and surrounded by brackets. Let’s start by creating a list: my_list =

This is one of the incredibly rare opportunities where we absolutely know that this site had a connection to the Underground Railroad because of its connection to Still.”Īccording to a document nominating the house for inclusion in the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, Still has been described as “second only to Harriet Tubman in Underground Railroad operations.” The child of formerly enslaved parents, his father had purchased freedom, while his mother escaped enslavement. “The hardest problem of trying to retrieve the story of the Underground Railroad is finding documentation that the sites existed. “From my perspective, it’s a huge discovery,” Duffin tells Flynn. Then one of the historians, Jim Duffin, came across an 1851 newspaper advertisement for a dressmaking business “done in the best manner by Letitia Still”-which included her address. Some of them identified the name of Still’s street, but did not specify the house number. In their search for this important historic landmark, preservationists paged through many 19th-century maps and city records. The house was remodeled in 1920, but experts say that the front marble steps appear to be the same ones that Still and many people escaping slavery would have stood on more than 150 years ago. His narrow house in Philadelphia served as an important stop on the Underground Railroad-and as Meagan Flynn reports for the Washington Post, a team of preservationists believe they have finally identified the home where Still and his wife Letitia once lived.Įarlier this month, the Philadelphia Historical Commission voted to include a row house on South Delhi Street (formerly Ronaldson Street) in the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, which ensures that the property cannot be demolished or significantly altered.
